"You've found someone?"

He settles, with Maglor's assurance, shoving against him.

"You did not. You got Them back." He points out. "You and Nelyo."

And then they almost lost Nelyo but he won't burden Maglor with that knowledge, not when Maglor probably is well aware of how close they came.

He growls at him for the ruffle but his eyes flash, bright and eager and hungry.

"How many should I call up?"

"Someone highly unlikely," wry and rue touch his voice, but there is also, at the same time, a fierce love for the elf he'd become bound to. "He steadied me where I might otherwise have become lost."

Maglor scoffs quietly and shakes his head. "I threw mine to Ulmo and Osse. I paid my price." His hands clench before he lifts them to show his brother the horrible scars - better now, through actual tending and a lessening of grief and guilt.

He can guess how bad off their eldest brother had to have been, to have abandoned him.

Ah! How he has missed that flash of those eyes!

"Call upon as many as who will listen."

"You deserve someone good." Caranthir grumbles sulkily, unhappy that he won't get a chance to give a shovel speech.

"Yeeeeeeeees." He nods. "And to throw it away, you had to get it back first." Duh, is implied. "So you succeeded. The Oath never said you had to KEEP it. Just get it back." DUH.

Caranthir straightens, nodding, eager, answering to his brother's need. "We can be ready in days. But how will we get there?"

"He is," he murmurs.

And then he freezes, feeling like he's been sucker-punched by Morgoth himself. "When did you get this wise, Moryo?" His voice is suddenly rough with shock when he finally speaks. If only they'd realized it sooner...

But he shakes himself and turns his mind to the problem of finding the way to Duplicity. "There are some people I will speak with. They might help me convince a certain Vala into aiding us." Read: harass and manipulate until Namo gives in (or Vaire nudges him into allowing it).

"I spent several decades being dead." He says dryly. "Not much else to do but think."

Vaire is always available for tea~

"You should talk to Grandmother, in that case. Both our grandmothers."

Just for that, Caranthir gets another hair ruffle! "Then I am glad for your wisdom." Even when he teases, there can be no doubt of the love between them.

Clearly he must go have tea with Vaire then! Even if the idea makes his knees go weak with uncertainty.

And then the last bit sinks in and he ends up staring at Caranthir again. "Both?"

He gets another growl for the ruffle, but there's a very clear pleased blush on his cheeks.

"Mmhmm." He nods. "Grandmother Miriel weaves in Vaire's Halls." He informs him.

"She likes peach tea."
